Cascades are Back!

The Cascades Team enjoyed its most successful summer in the past 5 years. The Columbia Reign Team was coached by Chad Meador’s from Lower Columbia CC, and Lacey Deweert from Kelso HS. The Cascades Team was coached by Al Aldridge and assisted by Gary Wilson.

2009 Cascades Team Members: Lindsey Levanen Prairie, Carly Wellington Jesuit, Mackenzie Kerins South Eugene, Heather Corral Prairie, Katie Colard Elma, Erin Feeney Jackson, Jasmine McDonald River Ridge, Samira Mcdonald River Ridge.

The Cascades Team finished five tournaments with five top 5 finishes, and a 26 – 5 record while playing in the top divisions of every tournament. They included the following: End of The Trail Shoot Out, Oregon City, Oregon; 1st, Place (65 Teams), End of the Trail All-Star Tournament, 4th Place 32 Teams Gold Division, Nike Showcase, Chicago, Ill. 2nd Place 220 Teams, Nike Grand Oasis Tournament, Phoenix, Az. 3rd Place, 150 Teams, Mid Summer Nights Madness Tournament, San Diego, Ca. 5th place, 175 Teams.

Prairie’s Heather Corral was selected as the MVP of the EOT Shootout Tournament, and Lindsey Levanen and McKenzie Kerins were selected to the All-Tournament Team in the EOT All Star Tournament.

Erin Feeney has verballed to Western Washington.
